I have worked in the piling industry since 1985 years during which I have gained a wide variety of experience in different piling techniques but have specialized in large diameter bored piles, both Rotary and CFA disciplines. During my career to date I have worked in both a national and international capacity, having worked overseas for various specialist foundation contractors. During this time I have progressed through different levels of responsibility starting as a general operative, becoming a Rig Operator, and now taking a Foreman/Supervisor role. I believe that I have the initiative and ambition to make the most of every opportunity, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills that lead to effective working relationships at all levels.

Having joined Mowlem Piling in 1997 as a Rig Operator, I progressed to the position of Foreman/Supervisor in 2003.

Foreman/Supervisor 2003 to date

Managing all aspects of piling sites, maintaining an efficient, cost effective and safe environment for all staff.
Running the installation of the piles, ordering plant materials, and supervising lifting operations with attendant craneage.
Supervising the piling crew, ensuring tasks are completed to schedule, and foreseeing and resolving any issues.
Maintaining a daily contact with Contract Management, and acting as first point of contact for clients.
Taking responsibility for quality contro on site and mitigating the requirement for remedial works.
Rig Operator:

Installation of piled foundations through the operation of piling rigs, as well as maintaining the rig itself.
Experienced in the operation of the following rigs:
Modern Hydraulic Fixed mast rigs in both Kelly and CFA disciplines, including knowledge of bespoke computer software such as Jean Lutz, NDT, and B Tronic. Model of rigs driven include Bauer, Casagrande, Soilmec, mait, and Delmag.
Front Mounted Drilling Rigs such as Soilmec RT3, Watson, Caldwell, Casagrande, KCA, and CEZ
Diaphragm Wall equipment including Rope, Chandelier, and Hydraulic Grabs.
Crawler cranes including modern hydraulic and older mechanical units.
